I just read, hope it's not true, that at a concert in Minot, North Dakota, Canadian were asked to identify themselves and then asked to leave. He apparently told the stunned audience that he would not perform for Canadians as their country refused to help out in the fighting in Iraq.
If this is true, why didn't he ask all American that didn't believe in the war to stand up? Would he have had much of an audience left?
The reason I want to know if this is true is because I do like his music and will have to travel some distance to see him on his Canadidan tour. But if he kicks out Canadians attending his US concerts why would I pay to see him. If he disdains us so much to sticking to our principles, don't declare war until you have proof.
Why would I pay good Candadian dollars to pay for his lifestyle when my Canadians are dying everyday to promote peace in Afghanistan. Remember Afghanistan!

You have been HOAXED. That is (pun intended) an Urban Legend.

Here's the link to the urban legend/hoax page that describes the faked rumor:

After checking some netlore sites, I've found this is baseless. There's no credible source that says he did any of that, and I doubt if he would agree to a Canadian tour if he detests Canadians that much. Don't believe everything you hear on the internet!
