Not at all. It is just so the Democrats understand the blame they share in any perceived shortcomings of the administration. Had the managed find even a decent candidate in 2004 Bush would be long gone.

I think we should make a drinking game of it, for BOTH sides... we don't have to drink anything alcoholic, it would be fun even with cola. Whenever someone tries to divert the discussion OFF of the issue at hand (such as Bush OR the less-than-stellar showing of our current Democratic Congress) by bringing up a real OR perceived flaw from the opposite side, everyone yell "RED HERRING!" and take a drink.

It wouldn't hurt the argument anymore than the "change the subject to something YOU won't like" tactic.

Although I agree with you that Clinton is currently the ultimate Red Herring, and thus should deserve a double-shot when he gets brought up....

Yes bashing Kerry and Gore and Clinton is the only response conservatives have to any factual info provided by liberals who do some research on a subject before running off at the mouth .

It doesn't matter. It's the intellectual equivalent of "I know you are, but what am I?"

They don't really think about whether it's logical or reasonable, they just parrot whatever their talking heads tell them to.
