You don't. That's the whole point of the test kit. There is no way of knowing without one.

I would assume that Helium would be the more likely to be in one's home if it is CONTAINED; I say this because when Radon gets into people's homes it tends to cause all sorts of problems and has to be removed at once at whatever cost to the homeowner, and is therefore scanned for regularily. Then again, because Helium is lighter than air, once it escapes its container and finds a way around the ceiling, up into the atmosphere it goes... Radon has nowhere to go but down. Based on that, I would say Radon would be the most likely to be found in or around the home, and especially in or around the basement of a home.
