They say wrestling sucks because it's fake, well a lot of things are fake like cartoons and dramas. They say it's boring, but WWE is way more entertaing than UFC where people only hug each other on the ground. Then they say it sucks and doesnt even give reason because there is none. So wrestling haters, try to get a better arguement

They don't really have many arguments in their aresenal.
It's fake- Yeah, so are movies and books.
It's a soap opera- So? And your point is WHAT?
It's too violent- Again, so are most movies and books these days.
It's for rednecks- Yeah, this one pisses me off the most. Wrestling fans are from all over the world from all walks of life. Black or white or japanese or latino, rich or poor or somewhere in between.

Its not fake its scripted. Well maybe being able to stand up after being hit 10 times in the head is fake.
I used to watch WWF but now its just another soap opera. You lose touch with it over time. Its a kids sport. Its entertaining to those who dont know any better. Sex and Violence sells and thats just what is marketed for.
MMA is real and if you know the sport it is entertaining. There doesn't have to be a steel cage to make a fight entertaining.
At any given time in an MMA match the tables can be turned.
When I first started watching the UFC I thought only the stand up matches were good but then over time you learn the moves and counters that can be done on the ground and its like an art form.
I wouldn't say Professional Wrestling SUCKS. I would say its just not entertaining to me anymore.

WWE is way more entertaining then UFC, but so is watching grass grow. I'm willing to bet you are a very lonely person without any friends and because of your lack of social skills you turn to wrestling. Wrestling is awful its full of half naked men with complex storylines that are obviously fake. I used to watch wrestling until someone walked out and the commentators said that this guy was an actaul zombie and he had died a week before. Now that's just stupid. My advice to all the wrestlings fans is: watch a real sport and get some friends.

I really don't like wrestling because they are just not very good actors. They don't do the fake violence well and they just embarass themselves with the soap opera theatrics. I won't deny their athletic ability or the fact that they place themselves in real peril doing some of their stunts. But the bad acting makes it such an absurd farce that I can't stand to look at it. I'd much rather watch real combat techniques in the UFC. When you've actually been trained as a fighter, a good arm bar is much more impressive than a bunch of steroid junkies at a ballet recital.

The simple fact of the matter is that the people who have been following wrestling 15 years+ wants it to be like it was in the 80s/early 90s.However wrestling has to grow and change.People also fail to check out the alternatives like ROH,IWA MS etc and think because WWE is on TV it's their only option. The fans are too lazy to try and find a product that offers them what they want, and instead of doing something about it they just settle for whats right in front of them.

Obviously you have never argued with me before. For starters, I do not hate wrestling, In fact if it wasn't for wrestling the movie "the scorpion king" would have had some lame actor like Sylvester Stallion as the lead. So wrestling has given us the Rock. However, wrestling is for 3rd graders. If you are over the age of nine and you still watch that crap, then get ready to spend your life in the trailer park working as a trash man. Get into something real with some substance in it. Read a book. Watch the history channel, anything but wrestling. It is brain rot for the masses with a mentality of well a third grader......By the way, Bo-dogfight. Now that is cool, but still brain rot....

If and when people treat cartoons and dramas like they are real, then your argument makes sense. Fans tend to treat wrestling and wrestlers as though they are real, as though the wrestler is really like that as a person, and as though the match "performed" was a real match.
When someone tries to figure out which team might win against another team in something like baseball, or which boxer might win a match against another boxer, then they can use statistics of past performances in the sport by these people to determine a likely outcome. Since all of the matches in wrestling are staged, then there are no statistics which can be used to determine who would "win" a match between two wrestlers, because you've never actually seen either of them really wrestle. All you've seen are what amounts to exhibition bouts. So when fans say "Who do you think would win in this match?" and list off names, well, that is so lame because how could you even really figure something like that out? The best answer to that is "Whoever the writers choose".
Good enough argument for you?

I don't like WWE because I was a statistician for the high school wrestling to me and THAT is "real" wrestling in my opinion I guess. WWE isn't my cup of tea, but I'm not gonna say it sucks. It's just not what wrestling is to me because I spent a lot of time around and working with people who did the non-scripted or staged stuff.

They should. The wrestling industry openly admits that it's product is choreographed and staged. Now the critics says that its too violent. My question to them is How in the blue hell can something that is openly staged be too violent. Wrestling injuries are incredibly low when you compare them to real sports like football, hockey, and UFC. UFC, while being incredibly boring, does involve very real fighting. The point of each match is to hurt your opponent so bad that they give up. The point of a wrestling match is to put on a helluva show, and entertain the fans.

I used to watch wwf/wwe a few years ago then all the people worth watching (such as Stone Cold, The Rock, Hulk Hogan, etc.) left. It was a great show but now it really stinks.
