I know people who claim to be bipolar and blame that on why they sleep with people etc... I think it's garbage. It is true that some people are sick and need help. But too many people are taking this excuse and running with it.
People need to stop finding ways to not blame themselves. It's a cop out and it makes me angry.
If you do feel a bit off... go work out, go for a walk. Don't sit in front of the TV, watch CSI and find ways to further make yourself go insane.

Everyone can have episodes where they are out of conscious control. Most of the time, we don't make the news.
The court system and doctors really work at evaluating people who've committed crimes. The fakers are usually weeded out. The truly crazy can not be held accountable.
They must be locked away and if there is help for them, they deserve a chance. Some are beyond repair. Sad. True. C. :)!!

the fact that the woman killed her minister husband proved she got some mental issues. of course no one should be provoked of jail time just cos they say they have a "disorder" but everyone gets looked through carefully i.e, their past medical records, personalities, and chemical inbalance. I don't think they got off the hook by faking they're mental.. im sure everyone is looked through to see who is faking or not.

i do have ptsd from years of abuse and i would never have killed the abuser. i got out barely but i got out -now my whole purpose is to never be in that place again-with anyone else, still i did not murder. mental illness does exist and emotional and physical abuse can trigger all types of reactions but still it is 2007 and resources are there, she should have tried living this way in the 70 and 80s. i had 45 stitches in my forehead and a lawyer told me to go back to my abuser- because he was sure this guy really loved me.

drugs and alcohol are many times used to shelter the international whilst a individual in any different case won't be able to. they are extra like crutches than excuses in line with se. Ppl could be self-defeating in lots of methods. i think of the medicine and alcohol are extra like symbols for a deeper self-defeating pathology. anybody has character quirks, character flaws, and so on. some ppl will ingredient to them as excuses quite of taking finished possession. asserting I have been given so worried on the date that i think of I blew that's not approximately self-defeat. that's approximately getting so worried like an excellent many do. that's not an excuse. that's what befell. If somebody has panic illness, and s/he had a panic attack on the date, that's psychological ailment. that's not an excuse. that's what befell. that's embarrassing. that's places an exclamation ingredient on worried. that's something to indicate at. psychological ailment are in basic terms "excuses" in that society seems down on them. there's a distinction. yet, maximum ppl do no longer truly have the authentic ingredient! authentic psychological ailments (schizophrenia, bipolar, important ordinary melancholy, OCD, panic, and so on) are no longer approximately desirous to break destiny opportunities. by using definition, they are physiological and not completely (or perhaps partly in lots of circumstances) interior the guy's administration. that's not ordinary to manage something for benefit or loss if that's not interior your capability to instruct it on and stale. All that mentioned, I do agree that particularly some ppl concern the destiny and do defeat themselves whilst some opportunities upward thrust up. safer in what you realize that the exchange of the unknown.

No. We just don't take people's word on whether they have a mental illness or not. In cases like that, experts must make a diagnosis of a mental illness.
