I really just can't remember how to do this, it's terrible. The answer and how you did it please!

Convert the percent to a decimal by making it into an improper fraction/percent. First multiply 33 by the denominator, 3 and add the numerator ( 1) Your answer will be 100. Then put it over the original denominator (3) and divide them 100/3= 33.333333........ Then you just have to move the decimal 2 places left because it was a percent Answer: .333333333............ *This answer is a repeating decimal*

33.33 %. Use your calculator for the fraction. Type 1 / 3 and you'll get .3333 (it goes on forever). Just round off to the 3. (that works for any fraction percent. e.g. 5 3/8 % is 5 + 3/8 =

1/3 as a decimal is infinitly repeating so it is shown as a .3 with a line over the three. On the other hand, while not as exact, it is more common to round the decimal to a tenth or hundreth position.

=33.33 %
Or, 1/3 is 0.33, so 33 1/3 is 33.33 %

When writing, it's .333 with a line over the top. Unfortunately, I was in school before there were computers so I don't know how it should be typed.
