I'm married for the 3rd time, and love being married. I don't really care if I ever have kids, but I enjoy the companionship of a significant other.
P.S. I disagree that you first have to "meet" someone before you know if you want to get married. The first two times I got married because I "met" someone; I was very young. The third time, I knew I wanted to get married eventually, and my search was geared specifically towards finding a person who was "marriage material" and who was serious about marriage and commitment. When I met my husband, he was looking for the same. We "clicked", and are now married - but we both had marriage in mind before we had met each other.

I am the marrying type, and I was quite sure I was before I even married. I have been married now for 21 years, and I love my wife and my married life! My wife is very easy to live with and still so good looking that she's been amusing me lately with tales of a guy at work who's been hitting on her, lol. We have two daughters who are both sweet, charming, and kind. Be sure, as I did, to find a mate who is responsible, emotionally mature, addiction-free, who communicates at least reasonably well, and, above all, has strong values.

I've been married twice and divorced twice. I say or used to say no, I'm not the marrying kind. But, when I half jokingly, but also half seriously said this to my first Xhusband. He was taken aback, shocked even, to find that I was and always had taken full responsibility for our breakup, because I hadn't been good enough of a wife. He informed that never once was I a bad wife...in fact I went beyond what most women do these days, only to be taken for granted by him. This also helped me realized that I had given way more than necessary to my second X, only to be neglected and abused. So yes, I am the marrying kind...and I do, so much, want the family life...its all I've ever wanted. I just can't seem to find the man who wants to share that with me. Now that I've had my little girl...I'd be happy if its just stays me and her, though it is lonely sometimes...not to mention I love for her to be Daddy's girl. She and I can be our own family.

I'm the marrying type was married once before and came close to getting married again a few years back but it just wasn't meant to be. I would like to be married again one day to the right man not just for the sake of being married.

I never had a NEED to get married. It would be a great thing if the opportunity came along, but I could see myself being happy with whatever happened. Now that I've met someone I want to marry, having kids with him would just be the icing on the cake. It would be wonderful to have a family.

I have been married and have 3 daughters I do not consider myself the marrying kind because I am too independent & men are threatened by that.
I have more peace more opportunity and more quality time alone. My motto is "I want a man in my life not under my roof"

i am married already. yes, both me and my husband are the marrying type. married to the right person is the the best thing in life, but it could be hell if you are with the wrong person. so do your homework and keep both your eyes open before you get into it. good luck.

I've been married once before, and can't wait to be again! Although this time it's going to be the right one, not settling for just anyone!

Looking at the ring on my finger, I have to say yes. But my family is a husband and two dogs, no kids in the cards for me.
