You're right they did loathe democracy. The number one thing they were looking for was proper representation. Through a republic they accomplished that and still allowed the gov't to do its job which is lead the country where they felt was best. Obviously....that doesn't always work, but that's the simplicity of it. The problem is the general public was educated through our failing educatin programs, and was sleeping during that part of history class.

A republic is a form of government where the rulers rule with the consent of the governed, and the government is based on a representative system. Thus, we are a democratic republic, to this day (Actually, we're a federal democratic republic). The founding fathers certainly did not loathe democracy.

because like so many other lies told by lefties it fits with their agenda.

lies like separation of church and state means anything mentioning God has to be abolished when the constitution clearly says no LAW meaning passed by both houses of congress shall establish a religion. no law passed? no violation. court house a law? noper. public place a law? noper. grand canyon? cemetary? schools? any of those laws? noper.

more liberals lies as usual. this is why they want to abolish the electoral college. so they can rule by mob rule and piss on the votes of millions who don't agree with them.

which is why the founding fathers were so much smarter than any of today's tolllllllllllerant and open miiiiiiiiinded "progressives" read commies.
