Okay. I installed that Spybot which was great, and the AVG Free Edition. However, my Window's Vista is thinking that I don't have a virus scan installed since I uninstalled my other one and installed AVG. What is causing Window's Security Center to think that I don't have any virus scan?

click on for your safeguard and inform it you are going to track your anti-virus application your self and it'll stop bugging you. Your anti-virus is operating good enough. An replace would even resolve it. AVG unfastened is suitable with Vista however unfastened models of anti-virus most likely don't seem to be within the safeguard core's database. XP with SP2 does the equal factor.

Sorry to hear you have Vista.

Try AVG Free or try here:

For a virus-free computing experience, consider the upgrade from Vista to Mac OS X or Linux.

You should scan your pc with True Sword: http://www.securitystronghold.com/true_sword.html
Here are the reasons:
* This one can fix over quarter of a million malicious problems, including yours
* It's fast, especially with Windows XP
* That will never delete the file your system needs for proper work, while the other programs remove everything they found as a threat
* This program will NEVER piss you off with useless informational boxes.

Good Luck!!!

Restart in safe mode (F8) and then run your anti-virus program. It cannot be removed if it is active.
