The people that are living in our old house said they are destroying our mail, they happen to send one item back with that written on it.

Turn them into your post master that is illegal to destroy mail unless it says or current resident on it they are in the wrong. I drive truck for the Post Office and have for 8yrs now

Ask the Post Office. Did you fill out a "change of address" form? If not, it is your problem. I don't agree with them destroying the mail when they could just stick it back in the box with a note. Should only take one time to get it straight.

Yes. They are destroying what properly belongs to you. You first need to change your address for your mail, receive the letters that are still at the house, and hire a good lawyer to sue them.

No, it's not illegal. At least they are destroying it and not just throwing it out. Why didn't you file for change of address?

The postman gave me a few mails that doesn't even belonged to me, like books, bills. I took the package to the address where it had to go.

It is illegal. They should write "not at this address" or pls forward and put it back in the box

hmm i don't know about that b/c it is your mail they shouldnt do that but then again it isnt your house anymore.... yeah i would think it would be illegal
