sometimes because someone would usually just type something like 'idk' (and their the first person on the list) then when someone else answers with the RIGHT answer the other person changes their answer from 'idk' to w/e the right answer is..kinda confusing but i think you know what i mean...but then again we can't play avatar games without it =)

i think that if you use the edit button, your answer should get moved to the bottom of the list,
either that, or answers should be posted in the order that people first hit the "answer this question" button. that way you can take as long as you need to type up your answer and you can still be at the top of the list if you were the first to press the button to answer.

The edit button is great! Using it, I can not only correct any typos I made and only noticed after the fact, but I can also add to my answer after posting it in order to get higher on the list.

I like the edit button because I make mistakes sometimes typing too fast.

I actually like it especially if I have made a spelling mistake and want to cover it up before anyone else notices lol.
One thing I don't do is completely change my answer because I don't think that's fair on others it could be like your copying them.

No.Edit button is necessary because sometimes people find difficulty to express their real answer, so that they need to edit.

we couldnt play avatar games if there wasnt an 'edit' button....
but i have asked questions were there WAS A RIGHT ANSWER....and ive seen people change it.....when someone under them has answered it correctly....
that goes on a lot in jokes and riddles

Well, when I use it I try to include the words "Additional" or "Edit" at the beginning to inform them I've added to my first response.
