I need your assistance!

My computer contains:

AMD Athlon (TM) XP 1600+
ASUS Main board A7N266-VM
NVIDIA GeForce2 Integrated GPU (onboard)
768 MT RAM 266 MHz


First I changed the power pack…, then I started the PC and there was NO internet! a friend of mine told me that it might be that my network card was deactivated or something like that. when i reinserted my old power pack the internet was still not working! I am currently on a friends computer.

please help me!

I know its an old computer… however before I changed the power pack my internet worked. the network card is onboard, when i connect the lan cable the small lamp on the back of the computer shines,. lan something is in bios setup activated…

so, what else can i do???

please help me!!

Changing the power should not do that unless you had a power surge. Look in the lower right-hand corner for something that looks like a miniature computer - right click on it and click on repair. If it is a minor problem you'll be back on in no time. If your ethernet connection is truely blown you can always get a cheap pci card.
