As with most plants good soil and fertilizer are great for gardens. Miracle grow is just as good. Read the label and give it some each week. Also if you are trying for really large pumpkins you can leave pumpkin on the vine and pick off the other blooms - that way the nutrition goes only to one pumpkin. Only thing is that one plant will only yield one pumpkin....but a larger one.

I'd go for a fertilizer with a high middle number, presuming the vine itself is in good health. Be sure that it's getting adequate water, but not too much. It will do best in a good bit of sunlight, so try to move it to where it will get the most sun if possible (at least that part of the vine). Be sure to put some straw under the pumpkin itself to keep it up off the ground to prevent rotting and bug infestations. Good luck!

Miracle grow. Check with the guy in the gardening department of the place you buy it or the miracle grow site for which type of application might be best but the commercials don't lie - that stuff makes everything and anything grow completely out of control! There just isn't even any way to describe the insanity I've seen that stuff do! Wow! Just follow directions.

Water! Also compost and maybe an organic fertilizer like fish emulsion.....except the neighborhood cats might come calling. You don't want high nitrogen! Right now the cells have been formed, now it's time for the water to expand those cells.

Cut a small slit into its vine and insert a string, then put the other end of the string into a container of milk so it can "drink" the milk. It will grow then!
