When you get a positive on an ovulation test it means you will most likely ovulate in the next 12-48 hours, with about 36 hours being most common. You should have intercourse the night of the positive opk. If your partner has normal sperm count then have sex every day for a few days after the positive.
If your partner has low sperm count then you should have sex the day of the positive, the day after, and then skip a day, then do it again.

The first step is to use the fertility awareness process to determine the best day to start testing based on your monthly cycle. Most ovulation tests may be used at any time of the day; some suggest first morning urine, but it is not required. For greater success, test about the same time each day and reduce your liquid intake for four hours beforehand.
Fertility monitors allow you to identify and track your ovulation month to month. Some people find fertility monitors to be more convenient and easier than tracking body temperature and cervical mucus. Others like to use fertility monitors and fertility awareness techniques for further confidence.

1) Ovulation takes a matter of hours, not days. You only ovulate on one day.
2) OPKs predict your LH surge, not what day you ovulate. Ovulation takes place anywhere from 12-48 hours after your surge hits.
3) When you start testing, have sex every other day until you get a positive. When you get a positive, have sex that day and every day after for 4 days.
Good luck.

I believe you should rotate days-every other day and you should start about a week before your suspected ovulation days and continue a day or so after. It shouldn't only be on ovulation days-but please keep in mind that sperm can take a while to produce-so having it ten times in one days doesn't equal the best chances-but waiting a day before tries does.

The goal of an opk, is to identify your best days for conception. So this first day that you get a surge, you are suppose to start having intercourse, to increase your odds of conceiving. I would suggest having as much sex as you can handle all the way up until you expect your period.

Hi there,
I think you mean 'do it' as in 'have sex' not do the test.
Well when I identified the days I was ovulating we 'did it' once or twice for those days - and I am 32 weeks pregnant now so must have worked!
Have fun doing it! (Don't overdo it as the sperm count will be reduced)

As often as you like and at least once or more while your ovulating that will increase your chances of becoming pregnant.
