They often have the cheapest laptops that are great quality.

I picked up an Inspiron last Christmas for under $500. It runs great. But make sure you know what you want before you call Dell. They will usually try and sell you a more expensive model than the bare bones deals.

Walmart, NOT best buy, they suck, I got my laptop there and it was a returned product, but they didn't tell me till I was returning it cause it was all messed up.
