Most 'important,' of course, can be for good or ill. Bush is certainly a very important leader in the 21st century, for instance. ;)

I'd say that, even though the Democrats had fewer Presidents, they had more of the really important ones - the ones that had a real impact on American history, and who's influence is still being felt, today.

For instance, FDR (D) is probably the most significant president since Lincoln. Not only did he lead his country into war, inter Japanese Americans in relocation camps, and defy tradition to become only President elected to more than two terms, he also championed a series of socialists initiatives that gave us everything from the Golden Gate Bridge to the impending disaster that is Social Security. Other important Dem presidents would include Wilson (WWI, League of Nations), Truman (atom bomb, start of the Cold War, Korea), JFK (Vietnam, Cuba, Missle Crisis, tax cuts, space race), and LBJ (Gulf of Tonkin, Escalation, 'War on Poverty').

Important Republican Presidents of the 20th Century would include Teddy Roosevelt, Ike, and Reagan. That's about it.

I think freedom died on December 23 1913. The rest since is just a prelude to the end of the current system of things.

the respond is glaring they percieve Democrats susceptible on nationwide secure practices. by using ways Hamas senior consultant basically mentioned on April 13 that they desire Oama wins the nomination and in comparison him to John Kennedy.

FDR and LBJ created an economic mess, Carter did nothing to help matters when it all crashed, and Reagan came to the rescue.

They were a mixture of both...if they were elected they were important...did they do their job well? That's a question for another time.
