Mr Lawrence was trying to protect one of his 13 yrs old pupils from a murderous foreign gang. Thus giving his life for the sake of humanity. The brave Mrs Lawrence, together with her 4 children have to face life, forever, without the loving husband and father. Why should this foreign trash ever be let loose on our public again. The report says he is still a substantial risk
to society.

this piece of none human shite should have had his neck stretched when he attained 18. His body then halved, one half dropped over Italy the other over Manilla. This human rights crap eminates from the EU and our Govt could sign out if they had the guts to stand up against the do gooders. He is apparently still a danger to the public, let him rot in jail.

I hope this appeal gathers momentum and does not fizzle out at the first attempt by the government to see justice down for the Lawrence family. Also I hope that the appeal will be the start for the fight on new Human right laws that do not pander to the PC brigade. Over a thousand offenders non brits have been given leave over the years to stay in the UK. All this Liberalism is getting out of hand and is going to be the downfall of this country of that I have no doubt .

This government ought to wake up pretty damn quick before it's too little too late.

I'm a strong advocate of "Life means life", i.e. 25 years is no life sentence for a man who's 25 going in.

However, if they are going to let murderers off after such a slap-on-the-wrist sentence, if they are foreign-born they should be deported back to their birth country, and I don't care if times are tough back there, they should have thought about that before they did the crime!

What's more, sending an Italian back to Italy is in no way a breach of human rights. Italy has an exemplary human rights record since the 1960s - probably in some ways better than ours! I truly hope the Home Office fights tooth and nail to ensure that if this man survives his (relatively short, considering the crime) sentence, then he will be shipped off to Italy never to return.

I hope this case makes more people aware of how unfair the system is and puts pressure on the government to change the law. Other countries will not keep undesirable people in their countries that have a criminal record. it is time the human rights people start to think of our rights or how they would feel if their families had been killed by these criminals.
A Life sentence should now be at least 30 years without any early release date even if they appeal

Because the British Justice system stinks... To me 12 years for murder is a [joke]... He should of lost all of his rights when he murdered Mr Lawrence. I hear the reasons for him staying in this country is to with his family... Well i think Mrs Lawrence and her 4 children want to be with Mr Lawrence... But they cant because he killed him. I say throw away the key to his cell.

Apparently his human rights decree that he must be able to live his life here as a free man, he has 'paid' for his crime. Where the human rights are for the family of Mr Lawrence is any ones guess, the victims of crime don't seem to have any these days. Human rights appear to be only for the perpetrators
