My specs are "intel(R) pentium(R) 4 cpu 2.40 GHz, 512 mb of ram", and I'm thinking about getting a "BFG GeForce 7300 GT 512MB DDR2 AGP Graphics Card". Here is a link http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8367279&st=graphics+card&lp=7&type=product&cp=2&id=1177718060586. Is it going to be compatitable, and play my games to perfect or almost perfect.

As long as you have an AGP slot there, that card is compatible. However, that is not really an awesome card. It is quite good at low resolution and low to medium settings, depending on the game. You can get awesome results from the ATI x1950 Pro AGP or the Geforce 7950GT AGP.

2x512Mb RAM should further improve your PC's performance.

it should be compatible but you might want to upgrade your ram also... cause that has a lot to do with gaming.....

it wont be as fast as newer systems that use pcix16 and you will be paying a little more than you should from best buy, but you will be able to play a lot of games....

also most of the big games like bf2 sims and some other games are gonna be kinda slow and you will have to change the settings to low....

i have a 8600 gt overclocked pcix16 with 2 gigs of ram and i play bf2 on low

you want to look at the bit also... its probably 128 bit but if its 256., thats better....

just cause the memory is 512 doesnt mean its goin to be fast, just that it takes away some of it from your system....

you should use newegg.com to look for a good video card and they are cheap.

It depends on what type of graphics BUS you have, if you have an AGP BUS then it should work, but you could also have PCI or PCI Express. Also, that graphics card is pretty good and should work well with most games.

You can play almost all games. Seriously, I can play HL2 with an intergrated graphics card (I just did). The latest ones, like oblivion, will not run well however.

If you have an AGP slot open on your motherboard-it will be compatible. Make sure yours isnt PCI instead.

you need to know what kind of expansion slot you have in your pc. tell us the make and model of your pc. also if you plan on playing modern games you will need to upgrade your whole pc, those specs just won't cut it.
