We all know is LT is clearly #1 but think about it. We all know he wont post #'s like last year. S-Jax got 800 yards receiving . He also gives you receiving points to. My point is if Jackson was picked 1st would it be consided a horrible pick. I would even take LT first but I think there is a small chance Jackson could be better then LT this year. I just want to get others thoughts about if they see Jackson go before LT.

It's not a horrible choice. In one of my drafts this year, the person with the first pick did choose Jackson with the first pick - so it is not unheard of.

One thing to consider - SD has new coaches this year. I doubt they would be change LTs role - but who knows. Marty Shottenheimer was always know as a coach who liked the running game. Norv Turner likes the vertical passing game. Will this really affect LT - I doubt it, but it is worth considering

The Regular season is always quite different than what the preseason rankings are. Anything can happen. Last year, the consensus #1 pick was Alexander (often times with Larry Johnson #2). LT consistantly fell to #3 in many drafts. We all know how LT did last year.

So to answer your question, its not horrible to pick Jackson first, however If it were my pick, I'd still take LT

Who says LT isn't gonna post numbers like last year? What's stopping him? I'll tell you why I think LT might even post bigger numbers this year. He wants to win the big game. He came close last year but fell short against the Pats. That's going to drive him to want to produce even more. That's going to make him more determined to carry the Chargers to the Superbowl. LT will easily put up better numbers then Jackson, and he has to be the easiest first pick ever. There should be no thinking.

That being said if you can't get LT Jackson is a nice consolation. I could see him going as number two.

But LT is a surefire number one and anyone who has the first round pick and doesn't choose him is an idiot.

Steven Jackson is predicting around 2500 offensive yards this year. That may be a stretch but not by much. He was a workhorse last year so I'm predicting his carries to lower this year. He still is probably going to end up with 1,500 rushing and 600 recieving yards with around 15 TDs.
Then there is LT. Unless he is the greatest back in the history, his numbers are going to have to decrease a bit. However, I'd expect nothing less than 1,400 and 20-23. Your best bet is still LT.

I'll take Jackson. He is round four years more youthful and nonetheless produces most sensible numbers on a terrible staff while healthful. LT is opening to vanish and whilst he can have a good yr (one million, one hundred speeding yards, 12 TD's) he doesnt have the ceiling that Jackson has. Both are cast, however Jackson has better advantage at this factor of their careers.

Got to take the risk if you want to get ahead. What if LT gets hurt 1st game and out for the season? I think Jackson is the man this year. I like late round rookies, my friends laughed at my picking bush in the 3rd round, I made the finals and won the league. My sleeper is Peterson from the Vikes.

not insane. but just as you said LT may not get the numbers he got last year but its not guaranteed Steve will either. Consistency is the quality i look for and hands down LT is the better back.

as much as I love Steven Jackson, LT is a much bigger option in San Diegos offense. The Rams have good WR's like Holt and Bruce, and San Diego doesnt have much receiving wise besides Antonio Gates.

Dude, either way you would be just fine. LT is probably still going to put up better numbers but both backs should have impressive years.
