how do i remove scorch marks where a hot pan has been placed on my black formica top and left a white mark.?

Micky you can't, the mark is from the heat changing the color of the Formica material, you'll need to replace the top.Hope it isn't a large area.?

That's the bad thing about formica. You'll have to replace the countertop or at least replace the formica.

Mickey,you don't. Consider a built in metal framed cutting board. They come in different sizes.
