Really you cannot do this 4th grade arithemetic problem?
Convert 34 min 17 sec into 33 min 77 sec and now subtract 6 min 22 sec and you have the answer

Subtraction:
= (34 min, 17 sec) - (6 min, 22 sec)
= ([34 - 1] min, [17 + 60] sec) - (6 min, 22 sec)
= (33 min, 77 sec) - (6min, 22 sec)
= 27 min, 55 sec
Answer: 27 min, 55 sec

27 minutes and 55 seconds
To subtract a larger seconds value from a smaller one, you have to borrow one (1) minute from the total minutes. This adds 60 seconds to the smaller seconds value, and you can do the subtraction.
34:17 - 6:22 = 33:77 - 6:22 = 27:55

It is like normal subtration, but you need to borrow 60sec from the 34 min.
so it would be 33min, 77sec - 6min 22sec=
27min 55 sec.
