They ARE a successful business.

They ARE intelligent enough to know a bad deal when they see one.

They CAN cite any reason they want.

I think the main point of this question is about Barnes & Noble selling a book. Okay, let me get this straight, you don't want a book store to sell a book because you don't like it. What comes next? Book Burning? If you want to boycott, go ahead, but they have the right to sell an OJ Book just the same as they do The Bible. It’s just a book, get over it, and get a life. Everyone wants t blame OJ. I say, blame the JURY. They are the ones who are ultimately responsible. It just goes to show you that if you have money (Martha Stewart, OJ, Bill & Hillary Clinton, Paris Hilton) you can get away with anything and write a book and have it sold in Barnes & Noble. Don't Blame the Store, Blame your own messed up rules set forth by your local government. I think that if Barnes & Noble can sell the Bible (a better example of a ghost written piece of fiction), they can be allowed to sell anything.

It is pretty controversial, I sure part is disinterest, but I think BnN is more concerned with alienating the public with carry a book by OJ , maybe telling how he did kill those people. Again allegedly. I can't imagine what he was thinking. it is a slap in the face to anyone who has lost a loved one to violence. In fairness, I personally don't feel any book should be banned, it is up to the individual to decide what he or she reads. But that is my take on it. I think they think people will protest and start stink.

public backlash is one good reason although there is a large segment of the population that believes that oj did do it and he is writing a book to gloat about it he should have been found guiltty and put away he shouldnt be able to make any money or publiicty for being a murderer

THey probably thought the image of burning piles of books in the entry to the stores, might just keep other customers away.

Well, it's not because it violates their standards of decency. They would sell their own mothers to make a buck. They are just afraid of negative reaction that will cost them money in the long run.

However, I bet they will special order it for a price.
