Kiki Strike Inside The Shadow City by Kirsten Miller. Very good, it's an adventure story about a group of girls called the Irregulars who explore a hidden city underneath NYC. It's excellent, the sequel is coming out in October, and I'd give it 5 stars.

There is a series of books by Louise Rennnison about a 13-year-old (?) girl named Georgia Nicolson. I think the first in the series is "Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging". Georgia kind of reminds me of a teenaged Bridget Jones and the books are hilarious! I'd give them 5 of 5 stars. Check them out!

As a teacher of 6th, 7th and 8th grades, I can tell you that most students prefer the Artemis Fowler series, Lemony Snicket, Nighmare Hall (Goosebumps for Teens,) Gossip Girl series, and Angels Unlimited Series. They often like books by Gary Soto, Avi, and Walter Dean Myers. Try any books that are "Newberry Medal Winners." They're interesting and well written as well.

you will possibly not want to hearken to this, yet examining a e book, quite than staring at a action picture, will help your writing and spelling ability. possibly there's a reason you have been assigned a e book to verify over the summer time. additionally, word that many circumstances, video clips are severely distinctive than the books they are based upon. in case you nonetheless insist on staring at a action picture quite than examining the e book, attempt "Tuck eternal" by skill of Natalie Babbitt, which isn't a chuffed e book, yet does meet your different standards. sturdy success.

If you can understand what you read, there is no reason to categorize it by age group. I know a young man who is 11 years old and he loves sci-fi/fantasy that a lot of adults read. I just got him started reading some excellent thrillers written by Matthew Reilly. You can read what you want, don't go by age group just because the teacher or your friends read such stuff. Branch out, have fun, enjoy what you read.
