Well... That's capitalism... In this country you can legally publish any book you want, despite how immoral if your words, "despicable" it may be.

I agree, even if the profits go to the Goldmans. Fred Goldman and his daughter has successfully given me reason to not buy anything that would profit them. I got the book, "My Name IS Ron" at a garage sale, thinking that this would be a very humbling read on the account of the murder of their son and brother by OJ (acquitted in the criminal trail, and found guilty in the civil trail). It was just the opposite. I feel that they need to learn so much about themselves before they can settle in their minds what they cannot change. I was, surprisingly, very upset with the book. I continued reading it thinking that they would not be so narsisstic, but that did not happen.
As far as I am concerned, they are and will always be, there own worst ememies. Ron was not a saint, like all kids his age, and should not have been at the wrong place at the wrong time. However, I feel also, that Ron may have had issues with his Father and Sister as well and tried to lead his own life. The Father and Sister give the impression that they OWN this poor boy...So, to profit this way, even though they said it was dispicable (a word used over and over again in the book, along with 'killer' or 'murderer' instead of the defendant or O.J) is DISPICABLE!!!!

It was bound to be picked up by a small publishing house, just like other manuscripts...including Peter Golenbock's recent novel on Mickey Mantle. And it will be a best-seller, I believe, because the fascination by the public over the murders has never subsided.

well they already paid OJ for the story, so I sort of expected it, and he does owe the Goldmans quite a bit of money, and this is the only way he will get it. But the book should of never been written, shows what a piece of shi* he is!

My guess is that they are doing it because it is the closest thing to a confession by O.J. that will ever be released.
It's their way of saying "Look, he did it, he even admits it in his own words"

I personally think that it is wrong to publish it, but I will probably read it just to see what oj has to say.
