My dishwasher seems to be running right but when its finished, the soap is all smeared about like its not coming out of its little compartment correctly.

Run an empty cycle with only using white vinegar in the saop dispenser. Something may be clogging up the line, or something may be trapped down in the drain-- check that as well, you may need to clear that out.

Also, how old is your dishwasher? The newer soaps and pellets are designed for newer washers....if you have a dishwasher that is 10+ years old, then use old school Cascade for it!

is the soap in the little door,? the one that flips out , some times soap will Swell when wet, flush the little door out with some water, switch to a packet type cleaner, see if that helps it,

Something blocked the water from sraying in that direction. That happens when my wife loads the dishwasher.

The water may not be hot enough to dissolve the soap.
