200 questions? I don't think there is a site that is going to be able to answer 20 questions for you and they are probably mostly opinion questions because a lot of the bok is personal view. I'm afraid you will HAVE to read it, or at least read sparknotes and do your best to answer the questions. Unfortunately, I have seen the movie and it is nothing like the book, the only thing that is the same are the names of the characters. If you watch the movie and try to answer the questions you WILL fail. It really isn't that bad of a book. I've read it 4 times and I'm about to read it again. Sorry, but i don't think many of us can help you.

Nathaniel Hawthorne wrote "The Scarlet Letter" about the early colony days in America. there was a theocratic little village (puritans or such) and the plot plods along and brings to mind the better-known "factual" story of "The Salem Witch Trials." But the fictional woman called "Hester" was either caught or alleged to have had sex out of wedlock and the township more-or-less ostracized her and made her wear a big red letter (A for adulterer, i think). Harthorne uses a tedious and slow-moving style of writing as did most early Americans and fortunately it is a short little book but worth reading to compare the progress of writing. Same reason for studying "Moby Dick," I think. It is good to see old movies to compare and appreciate some of the progress in an artform. Very educational. (Last read in high school in 1959)

What is it that you want to know? I have read the book 3 times and seen the movie countless times, it is a great book you should read it once you start the book you will not be able to put it down, if you don't want to read the book rent the movie it stars Demi Moore and Robert Duvaull, you should be able to answer the questions by watching the movie.

So what were you doing till now? I am guessing that this homework was assigned some time ago and not yesterday. It is a very nice classic book. You should have read the book and not FOOL around when there was TIME.
Do you always keep your work to do at the Eleventh Hour?

I would suggest looking at www.antistudy.com and typing the scarlet letter, which should bring up a number of different resources that will help you figure out the important details of The Scarlet Letter. Good luck, because i remember reading this book, and it was a toughie.

you should put the questions up we might be able to better help that way, and if there's 200 questions they can't be too hard just go through the book, maybe reread parts of it but look at the questions before so you know what youre looking for
