Sometimes, depending on what I'm looking for. The prices are good.

Only when Nascar is on, because then it's not busy. Just kidding. I never shop at Wal-Mart. The prices are low but you also get what you pay for. A piece of junk from China that won't last 10min. Plus shopping at Wal Mart helps put the local small businesses out of business. I would rather pay a little more and get good local customer service than save a buck and get treated like I am just part of the herd.

Yes, the town where I live only has a population of 4000 and Wal Mart is the only store in the town.

We all shop at Wal-Mart, just some of us pretend not to. My kids won't wear any Wal-Mart brand, it was the kiss of death for Starter gear. But other than clothes, they've got it all, in pretty high quality, for very cheap. Wal-Mart is Goliath right now. It's fashionable to hate them, accuse the company of picking on the "little guy", give me a break!

No - there isn't one close to me and I don't need their products. I furnished my place with Chinese antique furniture, I collect Chinese and other asian ceramics and artefacts. Those I get mostly from my friend, who is a dealer. I am involved in my kids' lives - coach their sports teams and do their homework with them - - - so I go to Modell's and I also pick up workbooks and things at the local drugstore. I eat out for almost every meal. I have a real job so my clothes I buy at a variety of men's stores. Weekends I just wear athletic clothes I buy at Marshall's.

Wal-Mart has reduced the prices of everyday items for millions of Americans and that increases the real wages for everyone. They have responded to American consumers' choices - when we buy commodity items we want to spend the least amount of money. To keep prices down most simple manufacturing has been outsourced - but the jobs lost have been low-skill assembly-line jobs that would have been lost to robots anyway. Indirectly, many jobs have been created - because we spend less on low-end items, we have more money to spend on higher-end items that are more likely to be made here, and on services that are performed here.

But the difference in price between Wal-Mart and Marshalls on the few items I buy at Marshalls isn't worth the longer trip. Marshalls is next to Fresh City where my kids and I like to eat.

No for the following reasons:

By having such unlimited purchasing powers Walmart has been able to dictate prices to vendors forcing them to decrease wages, outsource or otherwise cut production costs to meet wal-marts terms, while still maintaining a decent bottom line.

In terms of customer service theory are second to everybody.

I hate the lighting.

Yes, but I avoid it if I can. The store is usually a mess, the associates are too busy talking to each other to help you, and when they do, they are rude. Prices are frequently wrong, and when I brought it to the attention of the cashier, she accused me of attempting to alter tags (I informed her that at the time I was employed as a loss Prevention officer for a department store, and she apologized). Overall, I try to avoid wal-mart. But my wife loves it.

I try not to because I hate the super wal-marts. If there was a old wal-mart and not a super one I might go, but I doubt it even then.

I tend to avoid it when i can, but i can't say i never shop there. I don't like the way they treat their employees, and ironically, i think they hire the most incompetent people they can find. The worst customer service i have ever had was a walmart (more than one and in different states and cities).

Though in the town i live in, sometimes its walmart or target for what you need and walmart is cheaper.

Yes, I shop at Gay-Mart. I try to avoid it when possible since they make a lot of mom and pop stores close here. Unfortunately it's a long drive to the nearest store with comparable items.
