let's say you still live at home with your folks and have a job and it's a pain in the tail. you have to go to bed and get up earlier than you want and fight the rush hour traffic every morning only to arrive at your miserable job that you have to put 8-10 hrs a day at and your reward from your bosses is to be constantly b1tched out about your mistakes.

your brother, however, doesn't do anything. he parties all night, sleeps all day and makes no effort to better himself or his situation. when you get your paycheck, your parents cash it at the bank and give half your earnings to your brother.

would you be happy with that? if you say yes, you're a liar.

Excellent example.

Another might be:

You go to school and study the curriculum. You work hard and smart, doing extra credit and get A's on all the tests and assignments. Then there's the kid next to you who does nothing but sleep in class every day or does not study the material as diligently as you do. When report cards come out, you find you both have C's because part of your grade has gone to him so that he can pass the course.

How stupid are you that you do not have your own bank account and direct deposit . That minimum wage job is barely enough to help out around the house with the bills and your brother is busy preparing to write a book about the people he will meet in rehab .

So be nice because some day his best selling book will enable him to purchase your parents a dream home and you a place of your own so mom and dad can quit handling your paycheck .

You are comparing this to what? I am guessing Social programs. One, no one takes half your check. You are not smart enough to be that rich unless you inherited a lot of money. You are probably in the 15% tax bracket. So in answer to your idiotic question, I don't mind that a SMALL part of my pay check goes to feed hungry kids and help the elderly. Evidently you do, so what does that make you?

You do have it better than people that are getting bombs dropped on them, however I'd get my own apartment. I mean this is ludacris that you are putting yourself through this. I wouldn't put up with that kind of nonsense. Why do your parents cash your check anyway?!?! It just doesn't make sense my friend.

I'm the other brother, and I can see he just wastes his money foolishly anyway, on stupid wars and coke and bribery and so forth, so it's best that I get some before he squanders the rest...
