According to who? James Inhofe? Of course we examine who the messenger is when unsupported claims like this are made.

Maybe if you get your information from a credible scientific source instead of a right-wing blog people will take you seriously. Until then you're just another conservative global warming denier sterotypical joke.

The article you've quoted is well worth reading as an excellent example of propaganda, but it contains little or no truth. Note the web address which gives the false impression that it's the opinion of the US Senate Committee on Environment, but it's actually just the minority view of a few staunch neocons.

Even Bush admits there is global warming which is man-made. Big money is being moved into businesses which deal in alternative energy and pollution control. It's time for global warming deniers to stop their denials and face up to the fact that they will have to modify their lifestyles in a few small ways, like it or not. It's better than frying in the summer, or getting washed away by a tsunami.

Fixing and or changing our attitudes towards global warming--even if it's the hoax you can't wrap your mind around---will create jobs. Jobs--you know--the thing people need in order to pay bills and survive. What is wrong with creating a whole new sector of the economy that we can be the leaders of that the rest of the world would seek technology from?

Some other con posted this same website earlier this morning. Once again, I will point out that this is the minority sector of the site, that none of the scientists quoted in the article are climatologists, and that there are other studies posted on the same site that offer evidence to support Global Warming.

Oh, by the way, it's not just "leftist" that acknowledge Global Warming. But that would be inconvenient for you, wouldn't it?

About another 10 years. If you go back in history you will find the global warming scare in 1922. In the 1960's it was a global cooling scare. So in about 10 more years once they have exhausted all governmnet funding for global warming and the earths NATURAL cycle begins to cool they will be all hysterical about the next ice age!

They'll just move on to the next alarmist agenda. AGW is a means to an end - - they have an anti-free-market and anti-production, anti-consumption agenda that they've had for decades, and alleged man-made global warming is just the most recent of dozens of similar pretexts for socialism.

And with the failure of each, they've just come up with a new pretext - - and because they supposedly have good motives (not sure what those are supposed to be), they are rarely challenged in the media on the basis that they've lied before.

So why would they change now?

And they've gotten so good at it, they KNOW they're wrong, they know when they start to be proven wrong, and they have the next pretext already lined up. Global warming gets so much press now - the ozone hole rarely gets any - - - and the ozone hole is not getting any better, in fact it's getting worse, even though the chemicals they blamed it on were banned 20 years ago.

But I do think that in society there is a boy-who-cried-wolf - - - er, Mann-who-cried-AGW - - - phenomenon. I think that people will remember this time.

It amazes me that there is so much controversy over this. The bottom line is this is our planet. The only one we have. To think that all the crap we put into the air won't have an effect is ridiculous. And to top it off we as a planet are filling space with our garbage also.

here's how i handle the global warming kooks.

i tell them that live in cleveland ohio and when i can spend an entire winter without seeing snow, turning up the heat, or wearing a jacket, then i'll take global warming seriously.
