Nothing, the Red Sox are gonna grow their lead over the Yankees, because the next few series the Yankees play are against the Angels, Red Sox, Tigers, and Mariners. While the Red Sox play the Devil Rays, White Sox, Yankees (who suck) and then Baltimore. YANKEES SUCK!!!

It was a tough loss to take. But there are good things to look at. Mainly we didn't beat ourselves. We hung in there and came back twice to get it to extra innings. The game had some shaky calling for both teams. And Hughes didn't get hit hard he was just a little wild. The sticks are still swinging, The pitching is holding up. And finally when we need a big hit somebody is coming through. It was the best game of the year in my opinion. The only possible way to play the game differently would be to bunt Cano with 1st and 2nd nobody out and a contact hitter to follow. The idea would be a double sacrifice and expand the lead to 5-3 at the time. However, its always easy to play a Monday Quarterback. Don't worry about Boston. They aren't playing well at all and they struggle even more against the Yankees toward the end of the season.

AS FOR THE BUTTHEADS THAT CLAIM THE YANKEES SUCK........ look at the stats and notice the Yankees have the best record since the all-star break. So compared to the Yankees, everyone ELSE sucks.

Well, those games are bound to happen. We still have two problems that must be addressed. The bullpen and getting runners in when they are in scoring position. It was a great game up until that point. And Farnsworth almost regained my confidence in him back. Don't worry, though. The Yankees will still be in the hunt, probably right to the last game of the season. As much as I would like it to not be true, it's gonna come down to that series with Seattle. They are playing at another level right now. Boston may not give up that lead. They are playing Tampa Bay and then Baltimore. Those teams usually give them trouble but can't depend on that. It's up to us..... and JOBA!!!!!

The Angels have been the thorn in the side of many teams this year my man. They are a hard team to beat when they are home (41-17).

I would have pitched Chamberlain instead of Henn. Chamberlain would have more than likely given us 2 good innings.

Well the Yanks played a superior team. If they win 1 in CA they will be lucky. All around on paper the Angels are better except for power.

Phil Hughes has a lot to work on and Vizciano didnt do his job. When the starting pitcher and relieving pitcher suck against a good team, what can you expect.
I'm definitely heartbroken but we cant give up hope after a 1 game bitter loss. Lets not forget that Boston lost last weeks series to the Devil Rays.

Torre should have waited and pitched Mo in the 10th instead of the 9th when it was tied. Sean Henn pitches great to lefties but struggles against righties as we saw last night. Torre needs to get a clue.

It was only one game & don't forget as long as Gagne is their closer, he will blow a few more games, so I ain't worried & to the Red Sux fan who said the Red Sux were a better team, remember 2004, well as a matter a fact a do remember 2004 your first championship in 87 years. What took so long to win a title? The Yankees managed to win 26 of them. Don't count the Yankees out

it has been happening to alot of good teams I don't know why you think the Yankees are immune to it.

The only difference is the other teams fans are rubbing it in, like the Yankees fans do when they win like that.

Maybe Boston fans are but they are almost as bad as Yankees fans in my book.
