Yes
And for being stupid in trusting friends in an illegal operation such as dogfighting. Doesn't matter whether some people don't see dog fighting as a bad thing, in this country it's illegal and everyone who does it knows that it is illegal.
Oh, btw veggie, in this country everyone's opinion counts, even a bad imitator of MR. T

This subject baffles me. Our Judicial System is terrible!
I don't want a bunch of PETA bandwagoneers on my case for this one, just read and think about it!! Please.
Our laws are pretty messed up. We have a referee looking at up to 25 years(he won't get the maximum, but still) for game fixing. Fixing a freaking basketball game/games!! A GAME. When murderers, Child molesters, repeat drunk drivers, thieves, robbers, etc. get a lot less than that?
Yes, I'm going to mention Michael Vick! He is looking at up to 5 years. He will serve time in prison whether it be 1 year or 3 years, for conspiracy to travel in interstate commerce in aid of unlawful activities and conspiracy to sponsor a dog in an animal fighting venture. Huh? Are you freaking serious!? Let's not talk about the "illegal acts" our own government is doing as we speak! Give me a break, when is our judicial system really going to start working?
The system has never nor will it ever be fair. Politicians, Judges and our Lawmakers live by two sets of rules. The dividing line is measured in dollars.

He was directly involved with disgustingly using animals in some sick, twisted, manner to get some kind of pleasure. He was involved with killing innocent animals for the reason of that they weren't good fighting dogs. I raise dogs with my wife, and to me this is like killing children.

But that is just me venting. Mike Vick broke laws, and for that reason, he should go to jail.

well, its not just the k-9 fighting, it is for conspiracy to conduct interstate gambling. The crime is planning the criminal activity. It could have been turtle fighting, but once the interstate transfer of funds was made for betting purposes.....the law was broken

Absolutely! He has been arrogant and in denial of his wrongdoing. He thinks his money can buy his freedom, it can't. I hope the judge that sentences him is a dog lover.

yes for about 6 months and that it. these nfl fans who talk about lifetime bans are silly. there are people in that league who have literally killed people (leonard little). who are still playing. not to mention all of the guys who beat their wives and girlfriends. and people like jamal lewis who went to jail an entire off season for his involement in a drug deal. but i guess the PETA losers didnt care about that
