I've been up in here only a little over a month myself
If you star a question it shows up on ALL your contacts Home section I know that. Otherwise that's about the only function I can see it serves..that and a show of respect to the person who asked that you think his or her question is worthy of attention.

I asked this question sometime ago as well.
I star a question when I find it interesting and also, it alerts my contacts (and me when they star a question), to the answer if they hadn't already come across it themselves.
Here's a star...it was a good question. :-)

Here's the answer. They don't mean crap. Just something else the Yahoo IT's designed to do to justify their six figure salaries.
