10 million out of 300 million Americans. That's not even 10%.
Most Americans are quite pleased with where the country is heading and where we are now. Only the liberal crusaders are not.

What idiots you all are. The Constitution clearly states that a President may be impeached for high crimes or misdemeanors. A president can't be impeached because there are 10,000,000 that don't like him--doesn't work that way. As far as crimes? Well your friend Bill Clinton proved that lying to congress, lying under oath is not an impeachable offense. You folks are the idiots that don't even bother to read the Constituion yet claim you know best how to run the country. Read the rule book first please, and then make your inane comments.

And when he's impeached we're going to magically pull out of Iraq right that very minute? Impeaching Bush will only serve to waste a lot of money that doesn't need to be spent. We can't leave Iraq now. I'm not for this war, never have been, but we're there now and we can't just walk out because we're over it. This isn't a video game, this is about real lives (both American and Iraqi). It's great that you're taking the initiative to stand up for what you believe in but your time would probably be much better spent if you devoted the same level of energy to urging people to take advantage of the "information age" and educate themselves about candidates and issues before they just jump on a bandwagon.

How many times are you going to ask the same question, this must be the 10th time.
You cannot force your leaders, and who by the way do you refer to as your leaders.
This whole impeachment thing is such a joke as are those you participate in it, when you get Bush for a crime then you have a chance, until them you are smoking the wrong kind of dope.

Just some clarification to counter the hyperbole express thats running rampant here. A sitting President can be impeached on "high crimes and treason" they do not need to be proven, just alleged. Articles of impeachment will not force a sitting President from office, but will give him a pretty big black eye. As with a federal election it does not matter what the majority of Americans think. However, in an impeachment it does matter what the Senate thinks since they will be voting on articles of impeachment. A President is sworn to uphold the laws of the land and there are more laws than those that punish for just driving under the influence. In fact treaties signed with other nations are the laws of our land. So, violation of the Geneva accords and other international treaties on torture are violation of our laws, in other words high crimes. Additionally, impeachment could be predicated on violation of the Hatch Act in allowing political appointees including the former chief of staff to use their positions for political purposes. Last, illegal wiretapping is (hello) illegal, ergo a high crime. Clinton committed perjury and was impeached for it, justly so. Lets compare that to violation of federal election laws, violation of federal rules of professional conduct, federal wiretapping laws and by extension our freedom of privacy, and violation of international and federal law and really you wake up realizing that your room mate is gone, that is vaseline on your ***, and you never thought freshman rush would hurt like this. Ahhh... the sweet smell of betrayal. Impeachment does lie on cognizable grounds, will it matter? Only for the history books.

We should impeach the both of them for violating the constitution and abusing their executive powers.
Bill Moyers had a brilliant talk with two people who are not even LIBERALS. They call for impeachment. Wake up people!
Nixon refused to hand over evidence by citing "Executive Privilege". DO you know what the Supreme Court said? Executive Privilge is not appropriate when a crime has been committed! And the only person "Executive Privilege" covers is the PRESIDENT. It's in the Constitution people and the Supreme Court did their job, they said that it was not right (http://caselaw.lp.findlaw.com/scripts/getcase.pl?court=US&vol=418&invol=683 - The Supreme Court Vs. Nixon)
Currently though, this President is using "Executive Privilege" as a means to cover up lies and crimes. NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW, NOT EVEN THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.
This is called "Checks and Balances", so that no one branch of Government had the ability to force it's own POLITICAL agenda on the people. Congress has the right to investigate anything it wants and Impeachment was precisely made to remove Presidents who violate this very important part of our Government. Our Founding Fathers were wise men who forsaw such things because they had lived through it first hand.

it's not going to happen because although the libs and dems continue to drag President Bush through the mud, they know for a fact that what is going on over in Iraq is a necessity, is the right thing to do and we are on the right track. the dems are in the majority in congress, if they wanted us out, they could easily vote us out. They know that would be devastating even to our own national security as the war against terror continues. As the elections get closer, you'll find HiLiary start flipping and agreeing with what Bush is doing in an attempt to widen her base. You can see that, can't you? (Maybe you don't want to admit it, but you can certainly see it.)

I wish we could.. I really do.. but for some reason our congress is sitting on its hands... perhaps they are afraid to open that door.. they might find themselves in trouble too... i wish we could just throw the whole damn works out and start over. Not one who isn't compromised or dirty in some way!

On what grounds? I don't like the man, but he has done nothing illegal to get impeached. If you can prove to me that he has done something illegal, I'll be more than happy to sign up. I just can't justify spending the millions of dollars it would cost to impeach him unless it was a sure thing.
