thats a shame, because the stranger was extravagantly rich and would have paid you up to 40 million dollars for absorbing the blow for him,

Not in MY face. Heh -- that would be asinine. The stranger must take the facial punch, in my opinion. I mean, being that said punch is going to be distributed anyway, and my stepping in is not going to stop it, but only re-direct it to my face. That's just like having the same stranger punch my face for no reason. Man, that's my FACE. I don't like people punching it.
Maybe he would've paid me $40 million, and maybe he wouldn't have. The question of whether or not he would've paid out is like asking if a tree makes a sound when there's nobody there to hear it.
