I think if you can lick around the jar you should also be able to cut the mustard.

For those who don't know, "if you can't cut the mustard" basically means...if you can't perform a particular task.....

I don't understand the question at all. On my farm, cuttin' the mustard or the cheese means "fahrts". And to all you Deutschlanders, I don't mean travel..You wouldn't catch me lickin' anything in the vicinity of someone who had just cut ANYTHING!
