Depending on what they are made of you never will. If the pillow case is cotton you can cut the burnt spot out and wash it like normal. As for the pillows do the same if they are machine washable, otherwise you will have to replace it.

Sorry to break the news to you but it's time for a new pillow and a new pillow case.
You can, as a second try, washing them both in the washing machine. If your machine is too small take it to the laundry mat and wash it there. Pillows are washable although not many people wash them but its a good idea to periodically do so.
Good luck with your pillow and don't worry your dreams will still come out smelling sweet even though the pillow doesn't. lol

i think your gonna have to toss it! That smell is as bad as cat urine and doesnt leave. Plus, it cant look very good either.... dont feel bad about whatever happened - i once burned a big 'ol hole in my sons mattress! I had a small desk lamp in him room and for HOURS i kept saying that the house smelled like something was burning only to find out finally after walking into his room that it was laying on the bed and burning a freeking hole in the mattress! I felt so stupid, especially since i kept saying something smelled like i was burning!

Wash them. If you don't have a down pillow, you can pop them in the washer and dryer. Just wash them on warm with a cup of ammonia and put them in the dryer with a dryer sheet if you like. The setting should be permanent press or gentle if you have those options.
I wash mine all the time and they get nice and fluffy again.
