I don't have a problem when bands become popular. I have a problem when bands change their style and sacrifice quality in their music and/or whatever makes their music great for more airplay and more fans. Metallica sold out with the Black Album because they went for the more radio-friendly, hard rock sound to gain more attention and radio-play, though it doesn't do their earlier albums any justice.
