By the way, if the surge shows signs of working in certain areas is she supposed to ignore that? She was right, previously it has shown no signs of working. Not lying, mistaken. Even a politician isn't so accomplished a liar as to be able to lie about the unknown.

Now, she might have been mistaken because she allowed her politics to cloud her assesment of the situation, but such bias is hardly unusual.

Of course, while adimitting it's working, she's also spinning it that it's years too late, hopeless, and we still need to bring the troops home.
