Its not illegal to date, however, it is illegal to have sexual contact. The "rules" with regard to dating are going to be up to your parents.
The age of consent is 16 in Pennslyvania. However, most states have a provision that a 16 year old cannot have sexual intercourse with someone 36-48 months older than them, which would restrict anyone 18 or older.

If your parents oppose to you having sexual relations (anything that involves touching..) with a man over 18 they can press charges and sue him if they find out. Also, it gets much worse if you are impregnated by the man. He can be put in prison for years!! I'm knowledgable in that are because i dated a 19 year old when i was 16. We are still together!!! and planning marriage so good luck, be smart!

Also i may add that sex is wrong before marraige no matter WHAT the ages are!

I think only if you are older then 20 years old (4 years older then the 16 year old)

Yes. The person over 18 should not have sex with the 16 year old. It is statutory rape.
