Is it just me or do I seem surrounded by terrible, abusive, dead end, relationships? Does anyone else out therte have a GOOD relationship?

My husband & I had a wonderful relationship for years. We've been together for 14 yrs and he was my world. We did everything together, he was my best friend, my world. We endured many hardships thru the years and stayed true to each other thru it all, until last summer. Sadly I could feel him drifting away and tried to discuss it with him but he denied it, blaming the feeling on our jobs keeping us apart. I don't know if that's why it happened or not but I caught him writing notes to some girl at his work. It was, in short, traumatizing. We are still together b/c I am commited to this relationship - good or bad, I guess it would be easier to walk away but I am trying to persevere. Altho I feel as if he has commited adultery within his mind unless he breaks our bond by being physically unfaithful I will continue to be commited to him.

All relationships are hard, but a relationship should be defined by hopw you get through the hard times. I personally love my husband and we have a pretty good marriage. Its an amazing start of a lifetime. We get into big fights and sometimes I feel like it isn't worth it, but in the end it always is. I annoy him and he annoys me, but we get over it and still stay in love. We have a beautful daughter and are working to move up in life. We hve fun, we laugh we play we fight we cry. I have a great relationship, one that is still getting better.

Most of the time they start off really good an then go sour after about a year or so, but we must have self respect and not let our emotions dictate what we will and will not except, because when we think with our heart instead of our mind we make bad choices and stay in dead end relationships way to long, use your better judgement even if it hurts to leave him, do whats best in the long run. usually when I need to make a decision that is a big one, I make a list of the good and bad qualities of that person, and if the bad out weigh the good then bounce!!!!!

yes i do also and i do feel if you had everyone talk you would find the majority are happy. its just a very few that are ynhappy i have met some that are married with nothing in it but they stay for oh well who knows what. that is sad cause life is so short. but yes, we are out there like you its just not too many will talk why should we?

I thought I did at one time. But now I am undecided. Relationships take hard work. If you have a good one, clearly you are doing what it takes to make it that way. Good for you!

i have a great relationship. my husband is my best friend, my lover, my confidante, he's really everything i need and more. people these days are so used to getting things fast and easy-- it's a mcdonalds generation you know what i mean?? relationships are work, and worth it.
