Hi Miley, Here's the "Best of Both Worlds"...
For someone your age:
Book: Ann of Green Gables
Rating: 5
Why: It is a great classic read and is full of many adventures and life lessons. Ann is an outgoing, outspoken, loving, and imaginative character. Also, my wife is helping my daughter read it right now.
For someone your age (to read with parents):
Book: Stephen King's Fire Starter.
Rating: 5-stars
Feel: I feel it is one of his best - more thriller than horror and what great, great characters! A pyrokentic little girl struggling to save her family. Who could come up with this - other than the King!

The truth is I have a lot of favorite books, but I'll tell you about the first book I fell in love with.
It was the "Harry Potter" series.
I would rate it five stars.
It's the book that taught me that reading a fat volume won't take years from you (silly, I know).
It's unlike any book I've ever read before it. It's simply a magical world.

I would have to say that the best pice of literature that I have read recently has been Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare. I would rate it a 4, just because some parts were confusing, since they used old English. I feel good that I finished the story, because it is the second Shakepeare story I have ever read. I felt that it was a sad tale, but written very nicely. The old English language is very nice, I think.

The Stand by Stephen King. I give the book 5 starts. Its a classic tale of good versus evil only Stephen king could tell. The good with Mother Abigail and her flock who reside in Boulder Colorado versus the Bad and the Walking dude with his cronies in Las Vegas Nevada. Very spooky with a surprise ending. Love it.

I would say The Catcher in the Rye. I think the book is a bit overrated, but it's still my favorite. I think I love it so much because the main character, Holden, sort of shares my outlook on life. If I have to rate it, probably 4 stars.

the restaurant at the end of the universe by douglas adams. so many times I feel like Arthur Dent and that book summarizes my feelings about God perfectly:
" your God person puts an apple tree in the middle of the garden and says " do what you like guys but oh, don't eat the apple" surprise, surprise they eat it anyway and he leaps out from behind a bush shouting "gotcha!" it wouldn't have made any difference if they hadn't eaten it. because if your dealing with somebody who was the sort of mentality which likes leaving hats on the pavement with bricks under them you know perfectly well they won't give up.they'll get you in the end"

"She's Come Undone" by Wally Lamb is unbelievable! The main character is easily relatable and the fact that it's written by a man is absolutely astounding. 5 of 5 stars, without a doubt!
