Don't worry about it.
A UTI can't really effect the baby.
I had a UTI for over 2 months before anyone ever caught it. No symptoms either, but I have had probably over 20 of them in my life! (I used to get them a LOT as a child).
It didn't get caught until I was on vacation in Florida (I live in Cali), planning on going to Disney world with the whole family, when suddenly I was hit with SEVERE back pains and severe epigastric pains (feels like an extreme stomach ache right in your actual stomach--between where your ribs split, under your boobs... you feel very full but very hungry, nauseous, and like there's a rock in the pit of your stomach).
I started to pee orange when I was on the plane going there, but I didn't go to the hospital until 2 days later when I still hadn't left the hotel room and I finally realized... Oh sh*t. I'm peeing blood.
Haha... Turns out I had a severe UTI that was backing up into my kidneys.
I was on meds for the remainder of my pregnancy... And I missed the WHOLE vacation. I was bummed, and stuck in a hotel room with my mom, who wouldn't leave my side, for a week.
Odds are, if you caught it early, it should clear up in a matter of days.
Unless your urine starts changing colors, you're fine. (Some medicine can make your urine orange though, so don't panic if that's what the antibiotics do to you).
Nothing happened to my baby at all. The doctors kept saying, "don't worry, that baby is so protected."
Your baby will be fine, definitely.
UTI's are pretty common in pregnancy!
You'd be surprised at how many women get bladder infections in pregnancy.

You are most likely totally fine. I have had at least three this pregnancy alone and they are no big deal. The problem is when you have them for months upon months, but you would have had symptoms that throw up a red flag. If you are still in your first trimester, then you couldn't have possibly had it more than a couple months at the most. I had one that we didn't know about right away and I am fine. Baby is fine and I am almost 7 months. A little antibiotics and you are good to go! I would trust what the doctor says and just know that everything should be ok. If its not, they will fix it. Nothing should really effect the baby though. Just keep an eye and nose out for foul smells and EXTREMELY different discharge. Those are the tell-tale signs that most miss. Most just think that they are normal pregnancy side effects. Good luck, and take care of yourself! Oh, and drink a LOT of water! Helps to flush it all out!

If it moved to your kidneys you'll most likely experience lower backpain...
Don't worry too much, I had a UTI 4 wks ago and it was cleared up in no time with an antibiotic. Loads of women go through this when they're pregnant. Just take your meds and drink water.
Next time, check for burning sensation when urinating and if your urine turns 'cloudy' or dark (if it isn't usually dark), or start to smell a bit strong go to the doctor - those are all signs of UTIs - although during pregnancy urine can turn funny without there being anything wrong, those are just things to look out for.

Don't worry, this is actualy common in women, in there first trimester. The baby (being a foreign object to your body) Is right above you kidney, thus, putting a small amount of pressure on it, that wasn't there before now. It will clear up in 4-5 days, the best thing to do right now is to drink plenty of water(flushes out all the bad toxins) and in between, drink 6 ounces of cranberry juice twice a day. Also if you would like to try and avoid this in the future while you are still pregnant, drink at least 1` glass of cranberry juice a day, and make sure its 100 percent juice, because that surgery crap wont work. Don't worry about it bothering or hurting the baby, it wont, the baby is protected in your uterus, and nothing foreign can get in there to him except through your umbilical cord, and all delivers is nutrition. Good Luck, with your baby, and congratulations!

All a UTI means is tht bacteria found it's way up into your urethra. Yes, it's common amongst women who are sexually active, but that certainly isn't a requirement. UTIs are VERY common and nothing to worry about as long as you treat them. Cranberry juice is very, very good in helping to clear a UTI out of your system and also helps in easing some of the burning that may come with urination. Lots of water is great, too.

Don't worry about it. I never had a UTI either but with my pregnancy, I ended up having a UTI and a yeast infection at the same time. I also felt no pain at all . My body was already all weird because of the pregnancy. My doctor gave me antibiotics and I was fine after that round. I didn't get a UTI again but I had another yeast infection. (Hormones go crazy during pregnancy!) My boy was born healthy 3 months ago. I'm only 5'1" and was 110 pre-preg. and he came out at 7.5 lbs and 20.5" long! If anything were wrong, you would be informed immediately. Just enjoy your growing baby and I hope you feel better soon!

OK, i assume this is your first pregnancy, so you are scared shitless and overwhelmed with fears and what ifs. it is quite common, but, easily treated. and you dr has found it so he/she would have also run tests to check for damage. i have had kidney infections and you would know! unfortunately i have a high pain tolerance and hadn't realised it either. if you get one you may have more during your pregnancy. at 37 weeks, no less than a week before my c-section, let me tell ya contraction pains weren't even that bad. antibiotics, cranberry juice and a comfortable place to complain for the first two days was all i needed. good luck and god bless.

I had one when I was about 12 weeks. I just took some pills the doctor gave me and I didn't have a problem after that. Everything appears to be just fine with my baby, I'm 30 weeks now. Good luck!

Your fine, it probably wasnt very advanced and they only picked it up on the test.
Just take the antibiotic and dont stress it.
UTI's are common, the only thing about them that puts the baby at risk is when they become so advanced that it starts to shut down the kidneys putting you into a septic state. you are FAR from that point.
You're both fine.

It happens to many women and is not a huge cause for concern. As long as it didn't tun into a kidney infection, it should be fairly easy to clear up!
Good luck!
