Walking is definitely one of the best things you can do. Castor oil is an old-fashioned remedy, but you would need to ask your doctor or midwife how much to take. But for many women it does NOT work and ends up giving them diarrhea, nausea and stomach cramps.
You can also take Red Raspberry Leaf tablets in conjunction with Evening Primrose Oil daily to help strengthen and tone the uterus for labor. It will also encourage you to have more Braxton-Hicks contractions which in turn dilate and efface the cervix.
Other methods are breast stimulation to produce the hormone oxytocin (by hand or with a pump), intercourse and eating very spicy foods.
I know how hard it is at the end! Hang in there and you will be holding your baby very soon.
All the best to you and baby!

No matter the method, there is nothing "natural" about inducing labor. Forcing something to happen when it isn't happening is not natural.
Having said that, no, there are no safe and effective methods of "home" inducing. Sex and walking and squatting a lot are about the only things that are safe and could *maybe* help move things along, but there are no guarantees, it's different with everyone.
What you are feeling is totally normal. EVERYONE gets fed up in those last few weeks and feels like they need to get that baby out ASAP. It's usually very uncomfortable and miserable. Just try to focus on the fact that your baby is still developing and growing, needs this extra couple of weeks to really ready him/herself for birth. You'll be holding your baby in your arms sooner than you think!
Good luck, and congrats!

I'm 38 weeks and I'm within the identical boat. I'm unwell of pregnancy and I simply desire her out already! Besides what you may have already stated and different responses here's what I have discovered: a pair oz. of castor oil combined with juice. warning, it might probably provide you the s**ts however that's the cause. It cleans out your procedure and triggers your uterus to agreement while your bowels are contracting to get the whole lot out. Once you're empty the contractions will have to be truly powerful and also you will have to be equipped to roll. no longer every person will get the poops out of it however such a lot do. consuming an complete recent pineapple, a pair recent mango the being pregnant salad (discover it on-line) that has romaine lettuce which has common pitocin (identical factor the document makes use of to urge) semen has the identical hormone however more potent that cervical gel your document makes use of to take a look at and kick begin exertions purple raspberry tea (2 cups) cumin tea (one million tsp cumin in boiling water with dice of potato at backside and sugar/honey to sweeten) warmness to the breasts (positioned a towel within the dryer) using a desk bound motorbike there are a few loopy theories. however well success. I desire anything works for you. should not be lengthy now!

The only safe thing I would try maybe would be sex. Organisms might help start but I would check with my Dr. before doing anything b/c they would know for sure if something was safe to try. If nothing else, just enjoy the last few weeks of your freedom, miserable or not pretty soon, you'll never be alone again.

Just enjoy being pregnant! Don't rush the baby. You don't want the baby to be born before he or she is ready. Most ways to induce aren't natural and won't help since nature has a way of keeping the baby in until it is time.

I think the things that are safe are the ones that are good for you anyway - walking, being intimate with your hubby, spicy foods (as long as it doesn't give you killer heartburn-lol).
Here's the thing. I can easily get myself to have close, regular contractions anytime I want by going for a walk...but all it has done is make a "false alarm," and make me uncomfortable...so I really don't suggest it for the purpose of trying to start labor.

I looked and looked too, didn't find anything I was willing to do except raspberry leaf tea. The instructions to make it though were more than what I wanted to do so I didn't even do that.
What actually worked for me was stipping of the membranes. My first pregnancy it was done at 39 weeks and my second pregnancy I asked for it at 38 weeks, put me into labor both times. Just ask your doctor, most of them will do it.

I don't think there are any proven methods but some things that people have claimed have worked are going for long walks (I think this is probably your best bet), sex, and castor oil (although I don't know why anyone would subject themselves to this)!

I wouldn't try anything. I mean, walk more and be active and whatever, but don't try pressure points or any of that. When your baby is ready to sustain life outside, he will come!

I know of someone who was in the middle of a water fight when her water broke! I guess being relaxed, having fun, and being quite active helped her out! LOL.... "my water broke, no real, my water broke"
