I disagree.

In the last year of the Bush/Leinart/White/Lutui era, people were saying that USC could beat the worst NFL teams.

But the facts didn't bear it out. Bush was productive, but didn't start. White had a good rushing average, but barely played. Leinart was a decent ROOKIE qb, Lutui didn't start, Matua got cut by two teams as a rookie (and I think he's out of the NFL after 1 year), Justice didn't start, Byrd is a 3rd-teamer.

Well, you get the idea...as much talent as USC had, it's not like they were filled with great NFL talent that would beat even a bad NFL team (all of whom are older and more experienced).

Still, I don't understand the haters that rip on the USC schedule. The Pac-10 is inferior only to the SEC. What's more, last year USC played two BCS teams (ND and Michigan) and a title-game participant from the SEC and Big-12 (Arkansas and Nebraska)...USC not only won all four games, but comprehensively spanked these opponents.

When you consider that even the mighty SEC has some fairly weak teams, and the way that many top SEC teams seek out dreadful (even 1-AA) non-conference opponents, USC's schedule is, on balance, as tough as anyones.

Conference rankings:
1. SEC
gap
2. Pac-10
3. Big-12
4. Big-11
5. Big East
6. ACC

I am a USC alum and a huge USC football fan. I do not agree with you on this one. In fact if you post such stuff online, it will give those losers, middle of nowhere living, SC haters more trash to talk about (just see some of the stuff these people have posted already). I would just enjoy our time on top and leave the other BS out.
FYI - The SEC is stronger than the PAC 10 but If USC goes to the SEC (which they never would - no one wants to join those sorry *** whining SEC losers), they would still dominate as usual.
Go Trojans!

Sort of like how the 2005 Trojans could have beaten any team in the history of college football. Anyone remember when Sportscenter had that thing where it was the Trojans vs. anyone and USC was supposed to crush them. I'm a Sooner fan, but seeing Texas shut USC fans up for a while was nice. Other than that, I hate Texas.
Anyway, USC hasn't won 13 National Titles like Notre Dame.
And my Sooners have won 7 National Titles since 1950.
BOOMER SOONER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HAHAHA, I actually laughed out loud when I read this question!!! Honestly the funniest question I think I ever read in this forum. WAKE UP!! USC lost to TWO nobodies last season and won games against some "OK" teams. "Fight on"! You need to "fight" that urge to smoke crack. The only thing USC has in common with the NFL is the money it's players and recruits are getting.

Support your team, don't be delusional!

Whoa
EVER!!!!
I remember the 1970 Nebraska Team was the best ever
the 1972 USC team was called the best, the 89-90 Notre Dame team was the best........so on an so on.
Every 5 years or so, people drag out this BEST EVER label. I think USC is the best team in the nation at this point and maybe they will face LSU in the BCS Game.

Sorry, even the worst NFL teams would stomp the crud out of USC. Think of it this way, EVERY single player on the Raiders was such a standout in college that they got drafted by the pros, whereas a very small number of USC players will be good enough to make the pros.

Man quit drinking the cool aid. I can tell you that USC could not beat a third of the teams in the NFL if any at all. Hell Pete could not win at the NFL level with a Pro team. He certainly could not do it with a College team.

As for the Best Ever. That Texas Team with Vince Young was pretty good or did you forget about that team?

No college team can beat a pro club. There are guys starting for USC who will never get a cup of coffee in a pro camp. Plus, no 18-19 year old has the strength or skills of a pro player...that comes with additional maturity of the body.

I would have liked to have seen the USC from 2 years ago play the Raiders.
I know the NFL is the best from colleges but still USC is pretty badass

Enjoy your time on top. Just ask Miami, and Florida State how great life was 10-15 years ago. We'll see how loud you are when USC finishes 9-4 in a few years.
