I love anime, but what I am really looking for is good anime films, not shows, that anyone knows of. I want films because they are easier to watch in one sitting on my psp.

Perfect Blue
Ghost in the Shell
Paprika
I am just looking for good stuff that is maybe recent but not that well known, but old stuff is OK too. please no Miyazaki (seen em' all already)
PS. short (like 4 episodes) series are OK too.

Any film by Studio Ghibli is good. Grave of the Fireflies and I Can Hear the Sea are both great movies by them. I've heard that Ninja Scroll, Blood - The Last Vampire, and Vampire Hunter D are some of the best anime films out there. Good luck. ♥

Well, since you have AKIRA, Perfect Blue, and Ghost in the Shell up there, I'm gonna' assume you're into the good old school stuff. And I'm going to assume you've seen or at least know the story of Robotech/Macross.
Anyway, "Robotech-The Shadow Chronicles" came out not too long ago. It's a dam good flick and catches most of the magic of the old days.

Howl's Moving Castle **kinda too disney like
Castle In The Sky **good
Cowboy BeBop (The Movie) **good
The Full Metal Alchemist Movie **Awesome
All of the Macross Movies **some are awesome, some just ok
Vampire Hunter D ** ppl love this one but it's blah to me
Fist of The North Star **Awesome
Metropolis **better than a lot of others
Serial Experiments Lain **Good
Ninja Scroll **ppl love this one but I though it was sorta mediocre
Nausicaa **most awesomest
there's a hundred more than I can remember the plot of but not the names.
