At my school, people always pick out mean things to say to me or say behind my back. What can I say to them?

I always think of good comebacks, but when they actually say something to my face, I never know what to say. How can I get my point across seriously without being extremely mean about it?

Be a bigger person and walk away. Do not go to their level of thinking. But cause sooner or later Someone bigger and meaner will pick on them.

If you're in high school, I'd use sarcastic but intelligent responses, or just ignore it. Like just say "yeah, whatever" and wave it off. I know everyone says this, but it's true and has worked for me. Just ignore it and they'll stop. Unless they're complete idiots and can't take a hint. Then it's time to whip out the big, mean comebacks that you've been saving. Or just punch them when no one's looking. Whatever works.

Kind of depends on what they are saying. Are any of them true? Sometimes people say mean things because they don't know how else to say them and some are just plain mean because that's the only way they think they can get attention. Depends on what they are saying as to what your comebacks would be..need more info

Mostly people do this because of jealousy. We will always have the "bullies" in school. Most the time they have to demean someone to make themselves feel better. It's because of low self-esteem. If you want to be just like them, you can say something ugly back. Or, if you want to remain true to your sweet, confident self, then just give them a smile and a wave and go about your business as though you never dreamed they would talk ugly about you. They need a life. Go live yours and be grateful they are not your friends.

just walk away and ignore them thats the thing that will really get under there skin is that your above them and you dont care eventually they'll leave you alone...dont stoop to their level and shoot off a comeback b/c when they make fun of you it really shows their own insecurity and people who say stuff behind your back only say it b/c they're not secure enough with themselves to have a productive conversation...but even though they say bad things about doesnt mean that they are bad people i had a similar experience and later in life i met them and they were nice cool people...they just pick on you to fit in

Just say "I'm sorry you feel that way" and walk off-or just don't say anything and walk off. If they continue to harrass you, then you need to tell them, "Stop bothering me and leave me alone." Say it firmly but not yelling it. If these people won't listen to you then you need to go to the principal or a teacher and tell them what's going on. You shouldn't have to go to school knowing that somebody is always going to pick out mean things about you. These people need to learn how to have more respect and leave people alone before they face consequences.

tell them what they said to u in ur own words or just let it go if they do hat and they see u don't listen to them they will be tired and they will stop , i know this is hard to do with some kids but just try the first thing i said like for eg: if the person said u are stupid , u repeat what they said in ur own words to them u say to them oh u mean u are stupid not in a mean way though say it and leave their face bye and good luck

Remember your better than them. Don't worry about Them. Those kids are ignorant. Also Remember you probably have much more going in your life than they do.You don't have to speak to anyone if you don't want to. If there treating you like that don't even bother Talking to them. Remember your in school to get an education its good to make friends but education is first. Just focus on your studies.

Well im sorry to hear that but i would just be confident and make sure your ready for them. Have your come backs ready and just tell it how it is. Even though im popular in school certain kids are rude to me. Either ignore what they have to say and walk of like you didnt hear them or have those come backs ready to say! GOOD LUCK!

ive gone through this. in fact, one girl went so far the police finally stepped in...
i say to keep your nose clean. tell a teacher if you havent yet, and be careful what you say to them.
when that happened i usually just looked at them and walked away. or asked a friend(s) to walk w/ me.
If you want to say something, put them on the defensive. Dont ask why they are saying this stuff bc that lets them give a reason. tell them you dont know why they do it, you dont care, and u would appreciate it if they let off.
