Call your local Human Services office.

They will have referrals available for you.

They will be the first to respond.

There are volunteer organizations that they will know of to help you.

They will be listed under state Government services.

WIC (women, infant, children) offers help with formula.

www.freecycle.com is something that "recycles" things by giving them to people who need it.

Other than that, garage sales are AWESOME for toys and clothes, since babies are constantly moving to "the next stage" and thsu everything is still practically new.

Also, if you know anyone with a kid 3-6 months older than yours, express interest in hand-me-downs. I've found someone and I get bags and bags every month!! Some people wont offer because they dont want to offend anyone, but if they know, they start accumulating the stuff.

you can contact Catholic Charities or Woman's Care Center--they help with some things. and also try places like the salvation army, or even call the welfare office to see if they have a list of charities that can help you. You could always call a church and see if they would be able to help you or if they can give you the number of an agency that can help you.
