Have looked on the list thanks. My dept. is not named thank goodness but I am sure it will happen for some of those named. Chase Farm is one. They have been gunning for that one for a long time

I think it is Cameron trying to recover from his shock in the polls. It was a report that they were reviewing some of the hospitals which can mean anything of course. Could mean they are going to expand some A & E units but I suspect it means some will close. However nobody knows so the tories are just scaremongering
It was a bit of a gaff as they said that one hospital was going to close the A & E and maternity and that hospital did not have those departments anyway

They have closed the A&E department at our small local Hospital and are trying to eliminate it altogether and channel patients to the main hospital 27 miles away. This is in spite of an X Ray department provided by public fund raising to the tune of 3 million a few years back.I was recently offerred an appointment for an X Ray at the main Hospital with a wait of six weeks, when I asked if it could be done locally they said yes if you can go down there tomorrow afternoon you can have it done then. So why try to send me to the main Hospital .Maybe now Hewitt's gone things will be better.

The only thing I know is that my friend is a nurse at one of them and she is going to need a job! It's disgraceful, why do these dedicated people work so hard to get qualified and then get let down. They never have been paid enough either. Nurses are truly angels! x

Yes it's true although HMG deny it saying it will give a better service. I seem to think I have heard this sort of lie before
