Whooooo.... I would say it is 100%.... if not more, we are built from our subconscious mind, which interferes with absolotely EVERYTHING we see, say, do etc...
Well, but this is easier to believe in if you are someone who thinks people reincarnate and have multiple lives. If not, I may not be able to explain this in other ways so well...
In those multiple lives, people's personalities change, because of the circumstances and the offering of that particular life (poor\rich, healthy\unhealthy etc..) The expereicne we had accumulated in all the previous lives move with us forward until today. So everything we once again do, say, understand etc. come from our previous experiences, which again are moulded by the life circumstances one has today.

Oh, i dont even know that!!
Is it true?
I am wondering....
From my view (* Has read no psychology book) , i think our subconscious has controlled 99% of our thoughts and behavior because mostly of what we are doing now are repeated , which is called by subsconscious to do that thing that our conscious may dont want to do but it just wants to repeat the same action due to the satisfactory that we got during we do the thing.
Subconscious is a too big topic. I wonder only the God knows.

Sounds right, but it doesn't have to be that way. The intuition cuts through the programming to the rest of our mind and hence the expression, know the truth and the truth will set you free. Using descriptive words are scientific and not biased, connects you with the right brain which is not judgmental. It is you, after all and on your side. It also doesn't know from hate, which cuts you off from yourself and others. Emotions run you, not always in your awareness so emotional intelligence as a subject when studied gets us on course to or we will continue to follow our programming right down the tube, as a world, I mean.

it controls most of our muscles, takes in most of our data, does most of our analysis.
I'd say that if our brain was a computer, the subconscious would be like the operating system, background software, and applications. Our conscious mind is like the user - flitting around, overriding the subconscious occasionally, and directing things in specific areas.
example - you consciously use your arm to take a drink. your conscious mind says 'lift arm, grab glass, lift glass, carry to mouth, tilt glass, drink water, put glass back.'
Your subconscious turns each 'command' into muscle movements (like coordinating the swallow, and carefully judging the weight of the glass and how much force to use)
Then when you're done with your arm all those little muscles twitch and flex under the direct guidance of the subconscious (body language)
Your subconscious also takes in 100% of sensory data, while we are only consiously aware of a fraction. Analysis of this extra data could be where we get 'gut feelings' and dream insights.

Since I seem to spend an inordinate amount of my time in a somnambulitic stupor, at least for me, I would say the unconscious controlled 90% of my behavior.
