Honestly. .. . When's The Last Time You Saw A Non-U.S. Resident Thank The United States Of America For All Of Our Aid Packages To Them ?

We've given Countless Billions and Trillions to other countries , . . . . . . . . . .So Why Aren't These Boards Literally Over-Flowing With Posts Of Gratitude ?

BTW , every person , American or otherwise should listen to Gordon Sinclair's or Byron MacGregor's version of 'The Americans' . Outstanding piece of work . Just google it !!

Every analysis out there shows that Americans are the greatest donors of funds and volunteer efforts when then are disasters out there no matter the place in the world. But as with our help in WWI, WWII, the Marshal Plan, etc the recipients never say thanks

Good point but I've never seen a welfare recepient thank anybody in line when they get (I almost said "buy") their goods in the grocery store with food stamps either. Everyone thinks they are entitled to something.

I don't like giving anything to the UN because I understand they then make it known what they hand out came from some third-world thug dictator, most likely a close personal friend of Jimmy Carter.

In typical lib fashion, outcrop thinks foreign aid is an entitlement, no thank you needed. It shows his poor upbringing and lack of manners, a simple 'thank you' or at least some kind of acknowedgement is not a lot to ask for. BTW, why do libs expect the government to give money but are so stingy themselves when it comes to donating money? They sure are generous with other peoples money.

Well, there is this Italian man who lives in New York, and owns a sandwich shop, which bares a sign outside, that says Speak English, or you aren't going to get a sandwich, to that effect...He was on Fox News a while ago. He came from Italy as a child. He is always saying thank you to us, everytime I see him on TV.
The worst part about foreigners doing nothing, though, is NOT leaving.

exactly... and the same people that accept our aid or want to increase our aid... oppose any other form of involvement in foreign affairs... hypocrisy. but, i'd say the main reason why you don't hear about it in the media is that "good" does not sell. death and destruction and political propaganda sells newspapers. so, there may be a crowd of people singing praises to the american flag somewhere in a third world country... but, you'll never hear about it. just like the Iraq war.

Usually we get complaints of being too slow in getting the aid packages flown in!

Often our aid is delivered with attachments. We help out a country then proceed to rub their face in it. Our CIA and global clandestine activities have caused many nations to hate us politically and while the common people here and there might have no issues our govts play chess with our fate.

When I give to a charity, I don't accept a tax credit and I don't expect any acknowledgement of the gift. Just a little something I learned at Sunday School. I guess you missed that lesson....

I see the "Christians" are giving me thumbs down...

You never do.

I SAY "Cut off the foreign aid and lets take care of our own!"

Never. They seem to be suffering from a self-entitlement syndrome to me.
